Welcome to our wildlife journey! We created this page to share the amazing wildlife that my family and I have been fortunate to witness around our home and on our travels. We live in an area that has remained largely untouched by human development, offering a unique glimpse into nature’s beauty. Over the years, we’ve encountered deer, turkeys, hawks, a variety of birds, squirrels, snakes, fish, turtles, beavers, muskrats, ruffed grouse, and even a fisher. One of our most unforgettable sightings was a mountain lion—an animal whose presence in our region is still debated. We’ve also had bear bite marks in pumpkins and later spotted the bear just up the road in a nearby state park! Our goal is to share the peace and wonder that come from observing wildlife at a slower, more thoughtful pace.
